Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

 

Carolin is a passionate and caring doctor. She prides herself on her balance of medical knowledge and communication skills, ensuring her patients are well informed and feel comfortable knowing they are in safe hands. 

Carolin completed her medical training through the University of Melbourne. She undertook her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy Hospital for Women, the Northern Hospital, and Bendigo Base Hospital. She completed her advanced training at Epworth Freemasons (with a focus on laparoscopic surgery) and at the Royal Women’s Hospital (with a focus on the management of high-risk pregnancies and ultrasound). 

Carolin works in both the public and private sectors at the Mercy Hospital for Women. Her public role includes looking after women during their pregnancies and in labour. She works as a general gynaecologist helping women with a range of gynaecological problems, and she also works in the colposcopy clinic further investigating women with an abnormal cervical screening test (traditionally known as the ‘pap smear’). 

Carolin supports junior doctors pursuing their specialty training in obstetrics and gynaecology in her role as ITP coordinator (RANZCOG Integrated Training Program) coordinator. 

Outside of work, Carolin loves spending time with her husband Bill, their daughter Penny, and their son Harrison. Carolin enjoys cooking, and throwing dinner parties which often become dance parties. She is adept at working up an appetite by swimming and running.

*Carolin is currently on long service leave with her family. She will be returning to practice in October 2026. She will be providing care as a gynaecologist at Heidi Clinic in Heidelberg. She will continue obstetric care with NEOG with reduced bookings of return obstetric patients and existing gynaecology patients. She will continue delivering obstetric patients at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg.*
